ABOUT US

Welcome to Pet Health Awareness.

Dr Christine Mackenzie has been a veterinarian since 1998 ( and has just about seen and heard it all).  After working in mixed practices in Australia and New Zealand she has settled in Marlborough and now co owns the Picton Veterinary Clinic.

She enjoys explaining pet health and diseases to owners and feels rewarded when clients give an observant detailed account of their pets.

She is noticing that more cases are left too long before seeking veterinary advise, leading to more suffering for the pet, longer recovery times and larger vet bills or even death of the pet.

With these workshops she hopes to teach owners to be more observant and understanding of their pets health, as well as other pets/animals in the community that may be unwell and pass this knowledge on to other pet owners.

The ultimate aim is to improve outcomes for pets and minimise their illness and pain.
